Viva Big Bend is an annual music festival held in far West Texas. In 2013, the festival will host events at nearly a dozen venues in the towns of Alpine, Fort Davis, Marathon and Marfa. More than 50 bands (representing a wide variety of genres) will entertain. There are many other events happening during VBB, including an art show, kids’ activities and functions geared toward musicians/music-industry reps. 2012 was the first year of the music festival, and it was a big success – we recommend booking tickets (and hotel rooms) early this year.
